AS TEACHERS, WE STRIVE TO:
Create a warm and inviting atmosphere in our classrooms - one that will make our students feel both comfortable and enthusiastic about their learning environment. We want children, and their parents, to feel their time is being spent at worthwhile activities, both social and academic. We adapt these activities to suit the needs of our students.
We aim to challenge and stretch their capabilities. Fostering independence is a major goal. We spend time and effort to clarify expectations and routines because a sense of order is important to us and our students. We encourage self-directed learning as well as interactive learning.
We strive for excellence, and standards are always present, but are weighed carefully to allow for individual differences. As students leave our classrooms each year, our main interest is not only the content they have learned, it is also their interest in learning and the tools to help them learn how to learn.
